PSAT is October 6, 2026 for 11th grade (10th grade optional)
August 24, 2026
Dear Students and Families,
Guilford County Schools is pleased to offer the PSAT/NMSQT to high school students this fall. The PSAT/NMSQT provides students with valuable practice for the SAT, personalized feedback on academic strengths, access to free college and career planning resources, and for many 11th grade students, entry into the National Merit Scholarship Program and other scholarship opportunities. Because the assessment mirrors the digital SAT experience, it is an excellent opportunity for students to become familiar with digital testing before college admissions testing.
This year's PSAT/NMSQT will be administered digitally at our school on Tuesday, October 6. The information below explains how students may participate.
11th Grade Students
All Guilford County Schools 11th grade students will participate in the PSAT/NMSQT at no cost to families. The district covers the full cost of the assessment. Students with previously approved College Board testing accommodations will test using those approved accommodations. New accommodation requests cannot be submitted for this administration. Students who miss the October 6 administration may request to participate in a make-up administration that will be offered by October 16.
